So, you have decided that you believe in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Now you want to take the next step to show the world that you are serious about your commitment to follow Him.

 

First of all ... CONGRATULATIONS! This is the best decision you will ever make in life. It is a monumental decision because it is the starting point of something that will be with you for the rest of your life here on earth and into eternity.

 

Q: So What is Baptism?

 

A: It is a way of publicly announcing your decision to commit your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and live by the instruction of His Word. "For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith-and this is not from yourselves, it is a gift of God-not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9. Ritual alone offers you no eternal hope. Baptism does not ensure your acceptance by God and entrance into His kingdom. However, Bpatism is the outward, physical evidence of Christ's spiritual work deep within your heart. By submitting yourself to Baptism, you acknowledge your faith in His divine life and dynamic work of spiritual restoration and acceptance. You have repented of your sins, and Christ has given you a glorious future with present forgiveness and citizenship in His eternal Kingdom.
